A manufacturing facility in Rock Hill, SC is looking for a Field Service Diesel Technician looking to interview candidates ASAP. This role is fast paced and demanding. This company is growing quickly and willing to train for upward progression. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. They ar looking for a real go getter candidate who is open to local and national travel!

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems of a diverse fleet of heavy industrial cranes (e.g., lattice boom, rough terrain, crawler cranes) at various construction job sites.
  
  
• Utilize expert-level diesel mechanic skills to troubleshoot and repair complex diesel engines, transmissions, and associated powertrains.
  
  
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance (PMs), scheduled service, and required inspections to ensure cranes operate safely and reliably, adhering strictly to manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
  
  
• Complete detailed service reports documenting work performed, parts used, and necessary follow-up, communicating effectively with customers and the service manager regarding job status and technical issues.
  
  
• Maintain a fully equipped service truck and manage parts inventory, traveling extensively within a designated service territory and occasionally working after-hours or weekends to minimize customer downtime.
  
  

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 10 hours at one time

working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week

Skills

Diesel Mechanic Experience (5 years of experience is preferred)

CDL (3 years of experience is preferred)

Heavy Equipment Mechanic (4 years of experience is preferred)

Hydraulic System Experience (4 years of experience is preferred)

Mechanical Maintenance
