Ready to lead and deliver precision? You'll also use your superior machining skills (lathe, mill, grinder) to fabricate custom fixtures and gauges based on drawings.

Responsibilities
- Provide directions, instructions, and guidance to the assistant mold technician daily.
- Make sure that all tools and toolroom machines are in good working conditions.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on injection tooling.
- Ability to perform tool core changes, cavity changes, and replace thermocouples, tips, and O-rings.
- Perform tooling repair in the tool room when necessary.
- Must be able to polish molds, as necessary.
- Work with Engineering to resolve tooling issues.
- Document and keep historical records of work done on tools.
- Provide troubleshooting support for daily mold problems.
- Must have the working knowledge with corresponding hands-on experience of machine shop/tool shop machinery used for milling, grinding, cutting, drilling, polishing etc.
- Maintain toolroom material inventory and replenish materials as needed.
- Read and interpret drawings and use them to machine parts.
- Must be able to make and repair fixtures, machine components, gauges and end of arm tooling used in the production of plastic molded parts.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and assignments based on daily production and engineering requirements.
- Adhere to LDM’s policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Perform special assignments/projects and other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
