Responsibilities
Core Supervisory & Leadership Duties
Team Oversight: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of warehouse associates (including material handlers, pickers, packers, and shippers) to maximize daily productivity and morale.
Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, provide constructive feedback, conduct training, and manage all coaching/disciplinary actions to maintain a high-performing team.
Operational Directives: Direct daily operational flow across key functions (inbound/outbound logistics, inventory, and order fulfillment) to ensure all client quotas and deadlines are met.
Resource Allocation: Strategically plan labor and equipment deployment based on volume forecasts and shifting priorities within the facility.
Safety, Quality, and Efficiency
Safety Compliance: Champion a zero-incident safety culture by strictly enforcing all OSHA standards and client-specific safety protocols. Conduct regular floor audits and required safety training.
Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives (CI) designed to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce operating costs.
Inventory Control: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory counts through effective management of cycle count programs, physical inventory, and accurate system documentation.
Problem Resolution: Proactively troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to receiving discrepancies, shipping errors, and equipment functionality.
