Key Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine general maintenance on building and machinery.
- Conduct minor repairs in basic trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
- Maintain and repair complex systems: hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and high-voltage electrical.
- Execute advanced diagnostics using schematics to troubleshoot complex issues.
- For Level III: Read, edit, monitor, and modify PLC ladder logic.
- Document work orders (including data entry into the MRP system).
- Adhere to safety protocols (PPE, LOTO) and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
- Comply with all Food Safety standards, ensuring work surfaces are sanitary post-repair.
- Manage parts inventory, purchasing, and interact with suppliers.
- Technician I (Entry): High School/GED + 1 year related experience. Performs minor repairs under direction. Focus on general maintenance and scheduled PM.
- Technician II (Mid): High School/GED + Technical Certificate(s) + 3 years related experience. Works independently on standard repairs, including HVAC maintenance, routine electrical troubleshooting, and reading basic schematics.
- Technician III (Expert): Associate’s Degree (Technical Field) + 5 years related experience. Leads advanced diagnostics; expert in machine repair; proficient in PLC ladder logic modification.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems (Mitsubishi, Siemens preferred).
- Ability to work assigned shifts, including overtime.
- Must provide required tools.

- Conduct minor repairs and improvements in basic trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
- Maintain and repair complex systems: hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and high-voltage electrical equipment.
- Execute advanced diagnostics using schematics to troubleshoot complex issues on production equipment.
- Install, assemble, and test new equipment and pipe systems; perform machine installations/moves.
- For Level III: Read, edit, monitor, and modify PLC ladder logic and control systems.
- Generate, follow up on, and document work orders (including entering data into the MRP system).
- Proactively manage safety by adhering to all protocols (PPE, LOTO) and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.
- Perform routine repairs on HVAC, electrically powered equipment, and appliances.
- Comply with all Food Safety standards, ensuring work areas and contact surfaces are sanitary post-repair.
- Manage parts inventory, purchasing, and interact with suppliers and manufacturers as needed.
- Work independently, manage time effectively, and assist junior technicians with diagnosing malfunctions.
