Responsibilities
- Shift Coordination & Prioritization: Act as the technical point person for all maintenance issues on the second shift. Prioritize emergency repairs, coordinate work with production, and allocate tasks among available technicians and operators to maximize uptime.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level diagnosis and resolution of complex mechanical and electrical failures, minimizing production downtime.
- Electrical Duties (Hands-On):
- Install, repair, and troubleshoot 120V–480V systems, motors, control wiring, PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and transformers.
- Read, write, and interpret complex schematics and blueprints.
- Perform detailed diagnostics using meters, ohm and Megger testing.
- Write and modify Ladder Logic, design simple systems, and accurately identify symbols.
- Process Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities, particularly LOTO and confined space entry, are strictly adhered to by the night shift team.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive industrial maintenance experience, with a significant history of autonomous night/off-shift work.
- Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of 3-phase systems, motor controls, PLC programming/troubleshooting, and NEC compliance.
- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated ability to lead by example, take initiative, make sound technical decisions under pressure, and communicate effectively with production teams.
