Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage a robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) scheduling system for all production equipment and facility infrastructure
- Utilize SAP or similar PM systems to track work orders, manage spare parts inventory, and document maintenance history
- Perform and oversee hands-on facility maintenance, including routine upkeep and troubleshooting of systems like HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
- Serve as the primary preventive maintenance/facility/sanitation supervisor, coordinating the activities of the maintenance and sanitation teams
- Knowledge in a specific maintenance specialty (e.g., electrical, mechanical, automation) is a significant plus
- Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with OSHA standards and internal Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies
- Uphold and enforce strict sanitation protocols throughout the facility to meet regulatory requirements
- Maintain rigorous Food Safety standards and documentation, working closely with other departments to minimize contamination risks
- Oversee planning and preparation for all regulatory and quality audits (e.g., FDA, SQF, internal audits)
- Manage budgets, external vendors, and contractors for specialized maintenance or repair work
- Lead, mentor, and train maintenance and sanitation staff to promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement
