Responsibilities
- Assemble, fit, and install mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components onto large industrial machinery, often involving intricate sub-assemblies.
- Interpret and work from complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate assembly.
- Align, fit, and connect parts using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Perform in-process quality checks and adjustments to ensure components meet dimensional and operational specifications.
- xecute precision TIG welding on a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel, primarily for machine frames, enclosures, and high-pressure components.
- Set up and operate welding equipment, selecting appropriate amperage, voltage, and gas mixtures.
- Inspect finished welds for defects, proper penetration, and compliance with quality standards (e.g., AWS D1.1, D1.2, or D1.6 standards).
- Perform grinding, finishing, and repair work as needed to ensure smooth and accurate fit-up.
