Responsibilities
- Floor Monitoring and Verification: Perform regular, hands-on checks on the production floor to monitor critical control points (CCPs) as defined by the HACCP plan.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Accurately complete all necessary QA documentation, including pre-operational checks, temperature logs, sanitation records, and finished product inspection reports.
- Ingredient and Product Testing: Conduct routine physical, chemical, and microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods according* to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- GMP and Sanitation Enforcement: Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ensure that employees adhere to hygiene, sanitation, and allergen control procedures.
- Hold and Release: Assist the QA Manager in placing non-conforming products on "Hold" and conducting investigations to determine root cause before product disposition.
- Calibration: Monitor and calibrate equipment used for quality testing (e.g., thermometers, scales).
- Regulatory Support: Assist with preparation and documentation required for internal and external food safety audits (GFSI, FDA, USDA).
