Key Functions
- Management & Leadership: Manage and evaluate the Sanitation staff (10+ employees). Direct Crew/Supervisors on weekends. Implement strategies emphasizing teamwork, safety, and excellent sanitation practices.
- Program Oversight: Oversee and lead the implementation of the QSMS. Initiate and execute cleaning verification and validation programs. Manage and review the Environmental Monitoring Program (Micro testing and analysis).
- Procedures & Training: Implement and maintain plant Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs). Provide leadership and training to operations personnel on sanitation protocols. Develop training materials and provide annual site-wide training.
- Chemical/Budget: Maintain chemical safety procedures and MSDS’s. Manage the Sanitation Department cost center and budget.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing or supervising a large staff (10 or more). Experience in manufacturing or a high regulatory environment.
- Skills: Assertive professional with excellent leadership skills. Highly proficient computer (MS Office) and communication skills (Verbal and Written).
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or food science.
- Knowledge of food safety/HACCP.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead and evaluate Sanitation staff, focusing on performance management and employee development.
- Direct Crew/Supervisors for weekend Sanitation duties.
- Oversee and lead the implementation of the QSMS (Quality Sanitation Management System) to achieve targeted KPIs.
- Provide leadership and training to operations personnel on executing production line and facility sanitation protocols per the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), daily tasks, maintenance, and production schedules. This includes developing training materials, a training matrix, and conducting annual site-wide training.
- Implement and maintain plant Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) to comply with the Global Cleaning and Sanitation Manual, Pest Control Standard, and Hygienic Design principles, developing efficient cleaning methods, tools, and equipment.
- Serve as the technical liaison between factory personnel, the sanitation chemical supplier, BU Quality, and third-party sanitation provider.
- Maintain chemical safety procedures and MSDS; lead and enhance chemical handling training beyond the supplier's scope, meeting all EHS program requirements. Create and manage an organized chemical storage and sanitation supply area.
- Initiate and execute cleaning verification/validation programs to prove Sanitation program effectiveness.
- Manage and review the Environmental Monitoring Program (Micro testing and analysis).
- Manage the Sanitation Department cost center and budget.
