Responsibilities
The Porter's main job is to maintain the cleanliness and order of the building. This includes:
- Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and empty trash in all areas (offices, halls, restrooms, etc.).
- Restrooms: Clean and sanitize bathrooms and restock soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Maintenance Help: Report damage or needed repairs to a supervisor. Help with minor, non-technical fixes (like changing light bulbs).
- Setup: Set up and break down rooms for meetings or events (moving chairs and tables).
- Moving: Move furniture, supplies, and packages as needed.
- Supplies: Keep track of cleaning supplies and let the supervisor know when more are needed.
