In simple terms:
They make the magnetic plates that hold metal parts in place during CNC machining, grinding, and fabrication. Their products go into shops that build engines, aerospace parts, heavy equipment components, defense, etc.
These chucks use electromagnets + electrical circuits—so the product is part mechanical and part electrical.
What This Department Does This is small-scale, bench-level assembly in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
They’re not mass production — everything is assembled by hand, inspected, tested, and then packaged/shipped.
What the Role Actually Does Day-to-Day This job is half mechanical assembly / half warehouse:
Task
Description
Mechanical Assembly
Building electromagnetic chucks using screwdrivers, wrenches, and hand tools.
Electrical Work / Soldering
Connecting internal coils, wires, and boards. This is where soldering experience is needed.
Blueprint / Schematic Reading
They’ll follow diagrams to ensure components are routed and connected correctly.
Quality Checking
Ensuring electrical connections are solid, measuring output, visually inspecting coil winding, etc.
Inventory / Warehouse Support
Stocking components, packaging finished products, preparing shipments.
Forklift / Pallet Jack Use
Mainly for moving heavier completed units. (They will train).
Soldering experience is required — ideally fine-detail soldering, not plumbing-style soldering.
So look for someone who has done:
- Circuit board repair
- Wiring harness assembly
- Electrical assembly at a bench
- Small electronics repair
- Audio equipment wiring
- Automotive electrical wiring (if detailed and clean)
- Small electrical assembly shops
- PCB assembly / electronics manufacturing
- Military electronics repair (Navy/Army radio techs are great fits)
- Camera/phone repair techs
- People who built wiring harnesses at previous manufacturing jobs
