Responsibilities
- operation of multi-axis CNC Lathes (Turning Centers) utilizing Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or other common controls.
- Blueprint Reading & GD&T: Interpret complex engineering blueprints and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure all parts meet rigorous aerospace specifications.
- Tooling and Offsets: Select, install, and adjust proper cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices. Make tool offsets and minor program adjustments (G & M codes) as necessary to maintain part conformity.
- Quality Inspection: Conduct frequent in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMM checks to maintain tolerances as tight as $\pm 0.0005^{\prime\prime}$.
- Material Handling: Work with various aerospace-grade materials (e.g., Titanium, high-nickel alloys, stainless steel).
- First Article: Execute First Article Inspection procedures and document results accurately.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards and all company safety protocols, including Foreign Object Debris (FOD) control.
- Maintenance: Perform routine machine preventative maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area.
