Responsibilities
- Manual Loading & Unloading: Manually unload incoming delivery trucks (containers/trailers) and stage products efficiently in the designated receiving areas. Manually load outgoing trucks according to manifest and weight distribution requirements.
- Pallet Building: Accurately and safely build stable, secure, and compact pallets by hand, stacking products according to size, shape, and weight distribution standards.
- Wrapping: Operate a pallet jack or forklift (if certified) to move built pallets and securely wrap them using stretch wrap machines or by hand to prepare for shipping.
- Inspection & Documentation: Inspect all incoming and outgoing products for damages or discrepancies, reporting issues immediately to the supervisor. Verify product counts against accompanying paperwork (Bill of Lading, manifest).
- Organization & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel, forklift operators, and supervisors to maximize productivity and meet daily production goals.
- Inventory: Assist with basic inventory functions such as cycle counting and slotting as needed.
