Summary: Seeking an experienced leader to supervise 2nd shift maintenance operations in a high-volume, automated food production environment. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience and hands-on expertise with complex bakery equipment, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision: Direct the 2nd shift maintenance team, ensuring strict adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Manage, schedule, and enhance the PM program to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Troubleshooting: Lead the diagnosis and repair of production and packaging equipment, utilizing advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Oversight: Conduct daily equipment inspections and manage critical spare parts inventory.
- Communication: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the shift, communicating issues and providing updates to the Plant Engineer and management.
- Experience: 3+ years of maintenance supervisory experience within a food/industrial manufacturing environment (industrial baking preferred).
- Equipment Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with automated bakery equipment, including tunnel/conveyorized ovens, mixers, proofers, and packaging machinery.
- Electrical/Controls: strong knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, ladder logic, industrial 3-phase electrical systems (up to 480V), and related control components (drives, relays, sensors).
- Technical Skills: Expert mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, ability to read schematics, and proficiency in pneumatics/hydraulics.
- Tools: CMMS experience, basic computer proficiency, and competence with shop equipment (lathe, mill, welding).
