Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce parts according to blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications.
- Load programs, install tooling, set work offsets, and perform first-piece inspections to verify accuracy.
- Monitor machine operations, adjust feeds, speeds, and tool paths as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Interpret GD&T symbols, engineering drawings, and CNC programs (G-code) to ensure correct machining processes.
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve machining processes.
- working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
