Location: Schaumburg, IL Pay Range: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour (DOE) Shift Schedule: * Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Breaks: Two 15-minute paid breaks and one 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in hand soldering and electronic assembly.
- Schematic Literacy: Ability to accurately read and follow wiring schematics and technical drawings.
- Industry Standards: Familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-620, J-STD) or NASA standards is highly preferred.
- Specialized Skills: Previous experience with hand/pneumatic crimping and the use of epoxies/encapsulants.
- Industry Knowledge: General knowledge of the electronics industry, specifically pertaining to high-end, custom harness assembly.
- Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with small, intricate parts.
- Mindset: A "quality-first" mentality with a desire to undergo extensive training in a niche market.
- Stable Schedule: Enjoy a 4.5-day work week with Friday afternoons off!

Responsibilities
- Precision Assembly: Build, customize, and assemble high-end electrical harnesses and motorized assemblies according to strict customer specifications.
- Soldering: Perform high-quality hand soldering on complex components and circuit boards.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and blueprints to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Measurement & Calibration: Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, height gauges, scales, and tape measures.
- Tool Operation: Expertly utilize a variety of hand tools and both hand and pneumatic crimp tools.
- Encapsulation: Work with encapsulants and epoxies for component protection and stabilization.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all assemblies meet rigorous industry standards and safety requirements.
