The Work Environment Operations take place primarily within a large-scale industrial refrigerator (maintained at 34°F–38°F). The shipping docks and aisles are designed for maximum efficiency, requiring an operator with exceptional spatial awareness and the ability to maneuver equipment safely in tight, congested spaces.
Primary Responsibilities
- Accurate Order Fulfillment: Selecting dairy products via pick-sheets or scanners and building stable, well-organized pallets.
- Expert Equipment Handling: Operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks with precision in narrow-aisle configurations.
- Food Safety Leadership: Maintaining rigorous Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards to protect product integrity.
- Quality Assurance: Inspecting packaging for damage and verifying expiration dates during the picking process.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinating with loaders and supervisors to ensure on-time departures in a high-pressure shipping zone.
- Cold-Storage Expertise: Extensive experience working in refrigerated or frozen warehouse environments is mandatory.
- Food Safety Background: Prior experience with GMP, SQF, or HACCP protocols within the food and beverage industry.
- Technical Skill: Certified forklift operation with a proven track record of navigating confined loading areas.
- Physical Endurance: Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout a full shift in cold temperatures.
- Reliability: A history of stable employment and a desire for a permanent, long-term career move.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick dairy products using scanners/pick-sheets. Build stable, shippable pallets by stacking products to prevent damage.
- Equipment Operation: Expertly operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks in narrow aisles and congested loading zones.
- GMP Compliance: Maintain strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure food safety and facility hygiene.
- Quality Control: Inspect all outgoing products for leaks, damage, or date codes.
- Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a "clean-as-you-go" workspace to prevent hazards in cold/wet conditions. Perform daily equipment safety checks.
- Experience: 1+ years in a cold-storage/refrigerated warehouse (Required).
- Skills: Certified forklift operator with proven ability to maneuver in tight spaces.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work 8+ hours in a cold environment.
