Responsibilities
Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Specialist
Inventory & Receiving Operations
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming materials against purchase orders, production releases, and Test Center orders.
- Accurately label, organize, and store goods in designated areas (spare parts, shop inventory, etc.).
- Perform physical inventory and cycle counts, maintaining a minimum 99% accuracy standard.
- Investigate inventory variances and report findings to the Cost Accountant.
- Process all receipts and shipments within MRP and ERP systems following DDPS procedures.
- Route shipments, select carriers, and prepare Bills of Lading and Air Waybills.
- Obtain freight quotes, negotiate rates, and notify consignees of pending deliveries.
- Prepare comprehensive import/export documentation, including U.S. Customs documents, Commercial Invoices, and export declarations.
- Maintain accessible shipping/receiving files and distribute daily paperwork.
- Generate weekly MRP reports and purchase order requisitions.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse and power equipment areas.
- Assist assembly technicians with crating, rigging, and factory acceptance testing.
- Maintain service records for workshop equipment (cranes, trucks, slings) and report safety defects.
