We are looking for a detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our client's production team. In this role, you will be responsible for joining metal components and repairing fabricated products using a variety of techniques, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. You will work with a diverse range of materials—from carbon and stainless steel to aluminum alloys—performing high-quality welds in flat, vertical, and overhead positions. Beyond welding, you will play a key role in the full production cycle, including interpreting engineering blueprints, and laying out complex assemblies with precision measuring tools.

• If overtime is required the schedule for OT is Friday-Saturday 2pm-10:30pm.
• There is a $1 shift differential for this shift.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers. 
• Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications. 
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment. 
• Weld separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys. 
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding. 
• Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques. 
• Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.

manual lifting up to 40lbs

working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
