Our client is looking for a Shipping & Logistics Specialist (Heavy Fabrication focus) to join their team and become the backbone of their outbound operations.
What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you aren’t just "packing boxes." You are building the structural foundations that protect our high-value packaging machinery. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Master Craftsmanship: Building heavy-duty, custom skids and crates for machinery weighing 5,000+ lbs and stretching over 30 feet long.
- Inventory Gatekeeping: Managing the intake of all outside purchase and fabricated parts—ensuring everything that arrives is exactly what we need.
- Project Coordination: Working closely with Project Managers to label and organize inbound cartons and products for critical machine testing.
- Final Touch Quality: Operating deburring, buffing, and tumbling equipment to prep fabricated parts for their final finish.
- A Structural Thinker: You understand the physics of heavy loads and know how to build a crate that can withstand the rigors of industrial transport.
- Detail-Oriented: You’re the type of person who notices a missing label from across the room and ensures every part is accounted for.
- Safety-First: You respect the power of heavy machinery and prioritize a safe, organized workspace.
- Hands-On: You enjoy a role that keeps you moving, using tools, and finishing parts to a high standard.
