Responsibilities
- Part Finishing: Remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections from machined parts using hand/power tools and deburring equipment per work instructions.
- Quality Inspection: Visually and dimensionally inspect parts to ensure surfaces meet drawing and blueprint specifications without altering critical tolerances.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, routers, and work orders to determine specific deburring requirements.
- Documentation: Verify part conformance using calipers and micrometers; document production counts, inspection results, and nonconformances.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform basic preventive maintenance on tools; maintain a clean, organized work area (5S standards) and strictly follow PPE/safety protocols.
- Collaboration: Work with machinists and engineering to communicate quality issues and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Experience: 0–1 years of relevant manufacturing experience; High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical: Ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) and mastery of basic shop math (fractions/decimals).
- Physical: Specific vision abilities (close/distance/depth perception); ability to stand for 10+ hours and lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, acute problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative team-player attitude.
