Role Overview
As an Aerospace Shipping Clerk, you will be a vital link in the global aviation supply chain. This isn't just "moving boxes"—you will handle high-value aircraft components, ensuring they are packaged, documented, and shipped
Key Responsibilities
- Specialized Packing: Prepare and pack aerospace parts ranging from small fasteners to large engine components
- System Management: Utilize UPS WorldShip and internal ERP systems to generate accurate shipping labels, packing slips, and tracking information.
- Compliance & Documentation: Prepare complex documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), Commercial Invoices for international transit
- Quality Inspection: Verify part numbers and quantities against purchase orders; inspect incoming/outgoing goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Inventory Coordination: Operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks/forklifts) to organize stock and stage shipments for daily carrier pickups.
- Experience: 1–2 years in shipping/receiving (Aerospace or Defense experience is a major plus).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in shipping software (WorldShip/FedEx Ship Manager) and basic Microsoft Excel.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy is required to ensure flight safety and regulatory compliance.
