Responsibilities
- Program & Optimize: Use Okuma IGF and CAM (Mastercam/Fusion 360) to create and refine programs for high-complexity parts.
- Master the Multus: Lead setups and operations on Okuma Multus B300 and B400 platforms.
- Precision Focus: Hold tight tolerances (typically ±.001”) on mission-critical components.
- Innovate: Design custom fixtures and jigs to reduce setup times and improve repeatability.
- Lead: Serve as a mentor to junior machinists and a technical partner to our engineering team.
- Experience: 8+ years in CNC machining with at least 4 years specifically programming with IGF on Okuma lathes or Multus platforms.
- Technical Mastery: Deep fluency in GD&T, blueprint reading, and aerospace tolerancing standards.
- Independence: The ability to develop tooling strategies and troubleshoot complex finish or dimensional issues without hand-holding.
- Aerospace Background: Experience with exotic materials and high-mix/low-volume production is a major plus.
- Advanced Tech: Work with modern, well-maintained Okuma and Haas equipment in a clean, organized shop.
