Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:
- Program & Set Up: Create and modify G & M code programs; manage complex setups including tooling, fixturing, and probing routines.
- Troubleshoot: Identify and fix issues like tool deflection or chatter to reduce scrap and optimize cycle times.
- Inspect: Take ownership of quality using micrometers, thread gauges, and first-article inspections.
- Mentor: Lead by example and support Class C machinists to elevate the entire shop floor.
- Collaborate: Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to improve process flows and print clarity.
- Experience: 4+ years of CNC machining (Mill and/or Lathe) and 2+ years of programming experience.
- Technical Chops: Proficiency in G & M code, blueprint reading, and GD&T.
- System Knowledge: Experience with HAAS, Okuma, or Fanuc controls and CAM software (Mastercam or Fusion 360).
- Precision: A "quality-first" mindset with the ability to work to tight tolerances under minimal supervision.
- Physical Ability: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8–10 hour shifts.
