Responsibilities
Quality Leadership & Team Oversight
- Lead daily quality team activities across all shifts.
- Set inspection priorities and coach inspectors on best practices and standard work.
- Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure full compliance with industry standards and specific customer requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and lead preparation for external/ISO/AS/Customer audits.
- Interface directly with customer quality representatives and auditors.
- Manage corrective action requests (CARs) and formal customer complaints.
- Build a culture of “first part right” and visual quality standards.
- Train production and inspection teams on basic and advanced quality concepts.
- Lead proactive risk-mitigation workflows and preventive action.
- Analyze quality data and report monthly trends (NCR, CAR, FPY) to leadership.
- Champion 5S, poka-yoke, and quality-centric continuous improvement (CI) efforts.
- Audit readiness and high external audit scores.
- Reduction in scrap, rework, and NCR recurrence.
- Timely closure and verified effectiveness of CARs.
- Documentation accuracy and team consistency across all shifts.
