Randstad is seeking a precise and motivated Electrical Assembler to join the production team of a leading global defense and maritime client located in Suffolk County, NY. This role is critical in the manufacturing of high-reliability electronic components. If you have a steady hand, a keen eye for detail, and a background in electronics assembly, we want to hear from you.  

• Technical Proficiency: Proven ability to perform hand soldering (IPC-610 or J-STD-001 experience preferred but not required).
  
  
• Manual Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination for working with small components and intricate wiring.
  
  
• Documentation Skills: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly manuals.
  
  
• Tool Knowledge: Proficiency with standard assembly hand tools; experience using torque wrenches for precision fastening is highly desirable.
  
  
• Reliability: work ethic and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Precision Soldering: Perform high-quality hand soldering of wires, terminals, and electronic components to printed circuit boards (PCBs) or connectors.
  
  
• Component Assembly: Assemble electrical sub-assemblies and final systems following detailed schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
  
  
• Tool Operation: Utilize various hand tools, including wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons. Experience with torque wrenches is a significant plus.
  
  
• Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of completed assemblies to ensure they meet strict IPC standards and aerospace/defense specifications.
  
  
• Testing: Assist in basic continuity testing and troubleshooting of electrical circuits as needed.
