What You’ll Do As a lead technician, you won't just turn wrenches; you’ll be the heartbeat of our warehouse efficiency. Your day-to-day will include:
- Advanced Diagnostics: Identifying mechanical and electrical "ghosts" in various makes and models (Toyota, Hyster, Crown, etc.).
- System Rebuilds: Taking charge of engine overhauls, mast repairs, and hydraulic cylinder resealing.
- Electrical Expertise: Diagnosing controllers and wiring on modern electric units and high-capacity lithium-ion systems.
- Field Autonomy: Managing your own service van and tools to provide top-tier on-site repairs for our local partners.
- Safety Stewardship: Ensuring every machine that leaves your bay meets or exceeds OSHA and ANSI safety standards.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment, automotive, or material handling repair.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read hydraulic schematics and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Tool Savvy: Proficiency with diagnostic software and a full set of personal hand tools.
- Certifications: A valid Driver’s License (required) and an ASE or Technical degree (preferred).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various industrial environments.

Responsibilities
- Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication to prevent breakdowns and extend vehicle lifespan.
- System Diagnostics: Troubleshooting complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems using computerized diagnostic tools and physical inspections.
- Engine & Powertrain Repair: Overhauling or repairing internal combustion engines (gas, LPG, diesel) and electric drive motors, transmissions, and differentials.
- Hydraulic Mastery: Repairing and maintaining the masts, cylinders, pumps, and control valves that handle heavy lifting capacities.
- Brake & Steering Safety: Inspecting and servicing braking systems and steering linkages to ensure precise control in tight warehouse environments.
- Battery & Charging Care: For electric models, maintaining industrial lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries and ensuring charging stations are functional.
- Welding & Fabrication: Performing structural repairs on frames, forks, and attachments to ensure load-bearing integrity.
- Safety Documentation: Maintaining meticulous service records and ensuring all equipment meets OSHA safety standards.
