We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our client’s manufacturing team in Bohemia, NY. As a Randstad employee placed with this premier client, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to produce high-precision parts. • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in CNC machining (Setup and Operation).
  
  
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading complex blueprints and using precision measuring instruments.
  
  
• Knowledge: Familiarity with various materials (stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) and machining techniques.
  
  
• Soft Skills: Problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
  
  
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or CNC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines (mills and/or lathes) to perform precision machining operations.
  
  
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces.
  
  
• Quality Control: Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure parts meet strict specifications.
  
  
• Troubleshooting: Monitor machine performance and make necessary offset adjustments or tool changes to maintain production standards.
  
  
• Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
