We are looking for a meticulous CNC Lathe Setup Operator to join our precision machining team. Unlike a standard operator role, you will be responsible for the "cradle-to-grave" setup process of complex parts. You will interpret engineering drawings, select and set up tooling, and prove out G-code programs to ensure the first-article inspection is flawless. Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in CNC Lathe setup (turning) in a high-precision environment (Aerospace, Medical, or Automotive).
  
  
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of GD&T and the ability to read complex blueprints.
  
  
• Mathematical Proficiency: Ability to perform shop math and trigonometry for calculating tangents and points.
  
  
• Equipment: Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, or Mazatrol controls.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Perform full setups on 2-axis and multi-axis CNC Lathes (e.g., Haas, Mazak, or Mori Seiki).
  
  
• Tooling & Workholding: Select proper tooling per job request.
  
  
• Program Verification: Edit G-code/M-code at the controller to optimize feeds and speeds and troubleshoot program errors.
  
  
• First-Article Inspection: Use precision measuring tools (Micrometers, Bore Gauges, Shadowgraphs) to verify parts meet tolerances as tight as .0005
  
  
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times or improve tool life during the production run.
