The Electro-Mechanical Training Instructor is responsible for delivering hands-on and classroom-based technical training to engineering technicians and manufacturing personnel. This role ensures employees are proficient in the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and operation of Applied Materials equipment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and performance.  The instructor serves as a technical subject-matter expert and mentor, supporting workforce development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured technical training on electro-mechanical systems, tools, and processes.
  
  
• Instruct employees on system assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
  
  
• Train new hires and existing staff on Applied Materials platforms, equipment, and specifications.
  
  
• Develop, maintain, and update training materials, manuals, presentations, and job aids.
  
  
• Conduct hands-on lab sessions, demonstrations, and assessments.
  
  
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
  
  
• Support NPI launches, system installations, and process changes through targeted training.
  
  
• Interpret and teach from schematics, diagrams, layouts, and engineering documentation.
  
  
• Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and documentation.
  
  
• Promote and enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  
  
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to align training with operational needs.
  
  
• Assist with rework, corrective actions, and skill gap remediation.
  
  
• Stay current on manufacturing and engineering process updates.
