Responsibilities
- High-Speed Conveyance & Sortation: Execute preventative and emergency maintenance on complex conveyor networks, including shoe sorters, merges, and overhead systems, ensuring zero downtime during peak shipping windows.
- Automated Storage & Retrieval (AS/RS): Troubleshoot and repair robotic cranes, shuttles, and pick-to-light systems, utilizing PLC diagnostics (Allen-Bradley/Siemens) to clear faults and optimize throughput.
- Cold Chain & Refrigeration Compliance: Maintain industrial ammonia or Freon-based HVAC/R systems and high-speed thermal doors to ensure strict temperature zones for perishable food and beverage safety.
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Fleet: Manage the upkeep of electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and turret trucks, including battery management, hydraulic system repairs, and safety sensor calibration.
- Sanitary Standards & Food Safety: Perform all mechanical repairs using H1 food-grade lubricants and specialized wash-down protocols to comply with FDA, SQF, and HACCP regulatory audits.
- Facility Infrastructure & Loading Docks: Service critical "choke points" including hydraulic dock levelers, vehicle restraints, and high-pressure racking systems to ensure safe and fluid inbound/outbound logistics.
- Predictive Maintenance & CMMS: Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and perform vibration or thermal analysis on critical motors to prevent catastrophic failures.
