Role Overview:
As a fully competent technician, you will execute repairs, preventive maintenance, and corrective tasks for production machinery, plant facilities, and specialized plastic manufacturing equipment. You are responsible for ensuring all work meets corporate safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Core Responsibilities
- Blow Molding Expertise: Install, adjust, and repair blow molders, trimmers, palletizers, and auxiliary equipment.
- Tooling & Setup: Perform mold changes, neck tooling adjustments, pin replacements, and other critical equipment changeovers.
- Mechanical Systems: Inspect and replace pneumatic/hydraulic hoses; rebuild or replace valves and pumps.
- Preventive Maintenance: Maintain all related machinery in optimal processing condition to ensure maximum uptime.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Locate root causes of failures in blow molders, baggers, and support equipment; perform welding and fabrication as needed.
- Collaboration: Communicate frequently with other departments and receive task-specific instructions from the Lead Technician or Supervisor.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, math, and computer systems.
- Experience (Preferred): 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Education/Certification: High School diploma/GED; OSHA Forklift certification is a plus.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in a loud, temperature-variable production environment.
- Hourly Range: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour (varies by experience level).
- Overtime: 12-hour shifts typically incur mandatory overtime at 1.5x base pay.
