Responsibilities
- Forming & Bending: Setup and operate CNC press brakes to bend, punch, and form metal parts according to blueprints.
- Precision Check: Use calipers, protractors, and squares to ensure every part meets tight tolerances and flat patterns.
- Electrical Troubleshooting: Utilize your electrical knowledge to assist in diagnosing minor machine faults, sensor issues, or control logic hiccups.
- Maintenance Support: Work alongside the maintenance team to ensure the electrical and mechanical systems of the fabrication equipment are functioning safely.
- Welding (Bonus): If you can strike an arc, you’ll assist in tacking or light assembly welding as needed to keep projects moving.
- Fabrication Skills: Proven experience operating CNC press brakes (Amada, Trumpf, Cincinnati, etc.).
- Electrical Foundation: A solid understanding of electrical basics—ability to read schematics, understand 24V/120V circuits, or previous experience as an industrial electrician/helper.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read complex blueprints and calculate bend deductions/allowances.
- Welding (A Major Plus): Experience with MIG or TIG welding is a significant advantage and will be reflected in your responsibilities.
- Physical Ability: Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and handling large metal sheets throughout the shift.
