Core Responsibilities
- Full-Spectrum Maintenance: Perform emergency repairs and routine maintenance on electric, LPG, and diesel forklifts.
- Complex Troubleshooting: Use advanced diagnostic software and schematics to solve issues with electrical controllers and hydraulic systems.
- Customer Interaction: Work directly with clients at their sites, providing professional service and clear communication on equipment health.
- Service Management: Manage your own service van, parts inventory, and schedule to ensure "right the first time" repairs.
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in forklift or heavy equipment repair (Hyster, Yale, Toyota, or Raymond experience is a major plus).
- Tooling: Must possess a knowledgeable mechanical aptitude and a full set of professional-grade hand tools.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in DC/AC electrical systems, hydraulic circuitry, and internal combustion (IC) engine repair.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for field service operations.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Performs comprehensive mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs on various classes of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Diagnoses and repairs complex electrical systems, including controllers, motors, and batteries on electric units.
- Troubleshoots and overhauls internal combustion engines (LPG, Gas, and Diesel).
- Conducts preventative maintenance inspections (PMs) according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Utilizes advanced diagnostic software and tools to identify system failures and performance issues.
- Inspects, repairs, or replaces hydraulic components such as pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses.
- Maintains a clean and organized work environment, whether in the shop or in a mobile service van.
- Documents all work performed, parts used, and labor hours accurately via digital or manual repair tickets.
- Provides exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and suggesting preventative measures to minimize future downtime.
- Adheres to all OSHA and company safety regulations, particularly regarding lifting hazards and hazardous material disposal.
