We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to assemble mechanical components and products using hand tools and basic power tools. The ideal candidate will follow blueprints and work instructions to ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely assembly of parts and finished products. This position is with a union shop. 

salary: $17 - $18 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 3:30 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, torque wrenches, and hex keys
  
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
  
  
• Install fasteners, fittings, brackets, and other hardware according to specifications
  
  
• Perform sub-assembly and final assembly operations
  
  
• Measure and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  
  
• Conduct visual and functional inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  
  
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation following 5S principles
  
  
• Report defective materials or assembly issues to supervisors
  
  
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
