Job Description:We are seeking a Sanition Tech in Niles, IL to serve as a frontline defender of food safety. This role is a weekend-based shift (Friday-Sunday, 4:00 PM - 6:30 AM) within a global, family-owned food leader generating over $4 billion in annual sales. Core Responsibilities As a Sanitation Tech, you will ensure production lines meet rigorous hygiene standards through: Technical Sanitation: Disassembling/reassembling equipment and utilizing CIP (Clean-In-Place) and COP (Clean-Out-of-Place) systems. Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining precise chemical logs and digital records while upholding GMP and food safety protocols. Verification & Training: Using validation tools to inspect cleanliness and mentoring peers on best practices. Operational Support: Participating in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and cross-functional plant assignments. Candidate Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: At least one year in manufacturing, industrial, or sanitation environments. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 55 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in variable conditions (wet, cold, or humid). Compliance: Must wear full PPE (steel-toe boots, wet suits, etc.) and follow strict SOPs. Preferred Qualifications Ideal candidates may have backgrounds in military service, warehouse work, or healthcare custodial roles. Specific experience with floor scrubbers, chemical handling, or certifications like OSHA and HACCP is highly valued.
