Job Description: We are seeking skilled machine operators to join our team as a contract-to-hire Machine Operator at Pladis in Horseheads, NY! Are you mechanically inclined? Do you have former experience operating machinery in a production setting? If so, we would love to connect with you! We are seeking Packaging and Processing Machine Operators; the duties of said role(s) includes, but are not limited to: Set up the Enrobing lines, Manage the speed and quality of the lines, Understand the components of the different products, nuts, caramel, chocolate, pretzels, Manage chocolate temperature readings, Make proper adjustments to the lines, as needed, Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and completing all paperwork associated with consumptions, Follows and ensures that all GMP rules and regulations are followed on the lines, Able to handle routine duties including zipper change, film change, corrugate material to pack, Troubleshoot issues with knives, scales, weights, jams, tape machines, censors, Training of new packers and material handlers. This role requires at least 6 months to 1 year of prior machine operating experience - plastics, food, etc... as long as you have the experience, we are willing to work with you!
