We are looking to hire a dedicated RN at an infusion center - This will be a temp to hire - contract to start.
Administers infusion nursing care to patients within the infusion center in accordance with physician's orders.
Duties
Performs infusions, administers prescribed therapies, processes orders, notifies physician and personnel of patient needs and changes in condition.
Determines the amount and type of nursing needed by each individual patient.
Regularly re-evaluates patient needs.
Counsels patient and family/caregivers on nursing, teaching, and related needs.
Establishes venous access, administers prescribed intravenous solutions, medications, and blood products; monitors and maintains infusion sites and systems; evaluates response to prescribed therapy.
Initiates appropriate preventive nursing procedures.
Provides services requiring substantial specialized nursing skills.
Prepares clinical records, care plans, progress notes for each patient visit.
Participates in in-service programs.
Participates in peer review and performance improvement.
Participates in clinical record review.
Provides total patient care as needed.
Participates in on-call duties for off-hour infusion center and home care patient needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Current licensure as a RN in GA
Minimum two years' experience in infusion therapy in hospital, home, or ambulatory care.
Strong knowledge base in intravenous admixture and infusion therapy.
Able to work as a team player and be flexible.
Able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with staff, patients, and management.
Able to exercise initiative and independent judgment.
Participation in state-affiliated or national professional societies is encouraged (i.e. IDSA, INS, AVA)
Dependable in attendance and job performance.
Shift M-F 8 hour day shift
