Spherion, the franchise division of Randstad, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Staffing Tools Innovation & Technology. This role will be pivotal in driving the technology roadmap, managing key vendor relationships, and owning the product lifecycle for our critical staffing tools. You will act as the linchpin between Spherion leadership, the Franchise Community, IT, and Randstad Business Corporate teams, ensuring our technology portfolio aligns with our business model, offers a competitive advantage, and meets the needs of our franchise network. What you get to do: Technology Management & Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with Spherion’s business goals and franchise network needs. Oversee the full lifecycle of staffing technologies, from conception and selection to implementation, maintenance, and evolution. Identify emerging technologies, including AI, that can enhance efficiency and drive competitive advantage, and develop business cases for adoption. Lead the development and maintenance of the technology roadmap for Spherion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Ensure compliance with all relevant technology standards, security protocols, and legal requirements. Analyze technology performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous optimization of systems and processes. Vendor Management: Establish and manage strategic relationships with key technology vendors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and issue resolution. Collaborate with vendors to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with Spherion’s business needs. Evaluate and select new technology solutions and vendors based on business requirements, cost-effectiveness, and strategic fit. Drive vendor accountability for service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure vendor performance meets expectations. Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues and escalations. Product Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for updates and changes to Spherion’s core staffing technology stack, including the Applicant Management System (AMS) and supporting applications. Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with Spherion’s Support team and Franchise Community input. Gather and prioritize product requirements from the Franchise Community, Spherion leadership, and other stakeholders. Manage the product backlog, define requirements for changes or issues, and work closely with IT and development teams to deliver product enhancements and new features. Manage and conduct quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure product quality and functionality meet business requirements. Monitor product usage and performance metrics, and identify opportunities to improve user adoption and satisfaction. Provide product training and support to the Franchise Community. Additional Responsibilities: Partner with the Franchise Community to understand their specific needs and provide tailored technology solutions and support. Lead and manage technology implementation projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Develop and deliver training and communication materials related to technology changes and updates. Foster strong relationships with Randstad Corporate Support teams to stay informed of enterprise-wide technology initiatives and best practices. What you need to bring: Bachelor's degree required. 8+ years of experience in the staffing industry, with a strong understanding of staffing processes and technology. 3+ years of experience in franchise support. Proven experience in implementing and managing staffing technologies. Strong understanding of modern sales and recruiting technologies. Excellent project management, communication, and relationship management skills. Ability to develop business cases and measure return on investment (ROI). Experience managing vendors and owning product roadmaps. Knowledge of AI and its potential applications in staffing. This job posting is open for 4 weeks. Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Based on eligibility, a successful candidate's total compensation may include a variable pay plan including bonus(es) and/or commission(s). In setting compensation, Randstad complies with all local wage and hour laws and while the pay range listed above is an annual amount, non-exempt employees will be paid hourly and therefore receive the hourly equivalent.
