Job Title: Maintenance Technician III Role Overview As a Maintenance Technician III, you are a trade expert responsible for the independent repair, installation, and maintenance of complex production systems. You will handle hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and electrical systems while serving as a technical lead for Level I and II technicians.Key Responsibilities Systems Expertise: Troubleshoot using schematics; read, edit, and modify ladder logic to optimize performance. Maintenance & Repair: Execute daily work orders and PMs; diagnose malfunctions and repair production machinery, pipe systems, gauges, and valves. Facility & Projects: Lead machine installations/moves and building maintenance; track and coordinate project list activities. Documentation: Accurately log all work into the MRP system and manage parts requisition as needed. Leadership: Support and assist other workers in diagnosing equipment failures and ensuring technical standards are met. Food Safety & Quality Ensure all maintenance activities meet strict food safety and quality standards. Restore all product contact surfaces to sanitary conditions after job completion. Comply with QA procedures and report any risks to food safety immediately. Requirements Ability to work assigned shifts, including overtime and after-hours meetings. Strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper PPE usage. High standard of workstation cleanliness and organization. Enters completion data into worksheets or the MRP system for tracking. Technical Diagnostics: Reads schematics to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues. Systems Control: Expertly reads, edits, monitors, and modifies ladder logic. Preventative Maintenance: Performs scheduled PMs; inspects and tests machinery for proper functionality. Repairs: Fixes production equipment malfunctions. Collaborates with supervisors and team members to diagnose and resolve machine variations. Fluid Power & Piping: Installs and maintains pipe systems, gauges, valves, and pressure regulators. Facility Support: Manages machine installs, moves, and building maintenance. Tracks project list activities. Tiered Support: Assists peers with malfunctions. Performs all duties required for Maintenance Technician Levels I and II. Safety & Compliance: Maintains high safety standards. Adheres to plant specs, task lists, and safety protocols, including proper PPE use. General Duties: Keeps workstations clean and free of debris. Works assigned shifts, including overtime and meetings as needed. Performs other assigned tasks.
