job summary: An Expeditor is needed for a company that transports, distributes and generates energy, with diversified assets that include a balance between crude oil and natural gas in the Houston, TX area. This role requires 8+ years of experience to proactively manage the lifecycle of mechanical and electrical equipment delivery by tracking fabrication, coordinating technical documentation, and managing logistics to prevent project schedule delays. location: Houston, Texas job type: Contract salary: $26 - 36 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Associates responsibilities: Expedite and track all equipment, materials, and deliverables to ensure on-time delivery in alignment with project and construction schedules.Manage the flow of technical vendor documentation including drawings, RFIs, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Final Vendor Data Requirements (VDR).Monitor vendor fabrication schedules and inspection reports to proactively identify and mitigate potential production delays.Coordinate logistics for equipment delivery to site, ensuring site readiness and proper off-loading equipment is available.Chair and document regular vendor supply meetings and participate in internal project stakeholder meetings.Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, engineering consultants, project contractors, and internal supply chain teams.Resolve logistics issues such as freight claims, quantity discrepancies, damages, and tagging errors.Provide detailed progress reporting and status updates to stakeholders using standardized reporting formats. Skills: Good working knowledge and experience of expediting best practices and an understanding of logistics, purchasing and project document requirements.Prior experience expediting mechanical packages including pumps, condensers, pressure vessels, tanks.Experience expediting a broad range of equipment including mechanical, electrical, piping and instrumentation.Good interpersonal skills with ability to maintain and builds strong working relationships.Equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.Coordination skills, ability to multi-task, follow up and manage timelinesAbility to work on diverse projects and processes with conflicting deadlines.Customer service/Problem Solving/Organizational skills an asset.Working Knowledge of Engineering and Vendor Documentation is required.strong and effective communication skills and attention to detail are a necessity. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of MS Windows/Outlook and Office Suite.Knowledge of SharePoint, Oracle Cloud and Salesforce is an asset. Experience: Minimum 8+ years of applied experience in a high pace environment.
