Instrumentation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain critical chemistry equipment, including analytical balances, ovens, furnaces, and extractors. Solution Preparation: Prepare and standardize chemical solutions and reagents essential for daily testing requirements. Process Management: Independently execute assigned procedures and extractions in strict accordance with internal quality policies and customer specifications. Quality Assurance: Maintain meticulous records of all procedures and contribute to the lab's quality assurance programs to ensure audit-ready results. Laboratory Stewardship: Manage inventory of expendable supplies, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and ensure all glassware is sanitized and ready for use. Safety & Collaboration: Participate actively in a team-oriented environment, prioritizing the safety of yourself and your colleagues while meeting fast-paced production deadlines. qualifications: Qualifications Required: Education: High School Diploma or GED. Experience: An Associate degree in a Life Science field OR at least two (2) years of professional laboratory experience. Technical Skills: Working knowledge of aseptic sampling techniques and the use of automated laboratory equipment. Physical Ability: Must be able to work on-site 100% of the time, lift/move up to 25 pounds, and work comfortably in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels. Compliance: Ability to follow strict safety protocols regarding hazardous chemicals and microbiological pathogens. Preferred: Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry, Biology, or a related Life Science field. Industry Experience: One or more years of experience specifically within a commercial food-testing or pharmaceutical research laboratory. Advanced Knowledge: Familiarity with broad concepts and practices specific to food safety and pharmaceutical research standards.
