The Opportunity We are seeking a highly detailed and collaborative Air Freight Coordinator to manage the lifecycle of air shipments. Qualifications Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain coordination role. Proven experience in a role requiring external communication with carriers or suppliers. strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially regarding documentation. Knowledge of air freight procedures, transportation regulations, and basic customs requirements is highly preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. salary: $24 - $25 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 5 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilitiesShipment & External Management Logistics Coordination: Coordinate and manage the end-to-end movement of air freight shipments from suppliers to customers. Carrier & Partner Communication: Communicate with air carriers, suppliers, and international offices to ensure shipments are booked, delivered on time, and meet all customer specifications. Cost Control: Monitor transportation costs and actively work to minimize expenses while maintaining service quality. Issue Resolution: Track shipments and proactively resolve any issues that arise during transit, including delays, damages, or documentation errors. Documentation & Administration Documentation Management: Prepare accurate and compliant shipping documents, including Air Waybills (AWBs), commercial invoices, and necessary customs documentation. System Integrity: Process customer booking requests, enter data into the Transportation Management System (TMS), and maintain accurate records of all shipping transactions. Regulatory Knowledge: Stay current with air freight transportation regulations and customs requirements to ensure full compliance. Internal Coordination: Act as a central point of contact, relaying shipment updates and requirements between sales, operations, and billing teams.
