We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Sanitation Manager to lead our sanitation program at our manufacturing facility in Hauppauge, NY. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the facility, production equipment, and environment meet all corporate, customer, and regulatory standards for cleanliness and food safety. Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and manage the sanitation team, ensuring all employees are proficient in sanitation methods, chemical handling, and safety procedures (LOTO, etc.). Compliance & Auditing: Guarantee adherence to all regulatory requirements, including FDA, GMPs, HACCP, SQF, and internal quality standards. Lead and participate in third-party and regulatory inspections, conducting internal sanitation audits, and ensuring timely corrective actions. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve sanitation methods, equipment, and processes for effectiveness, efficiency (labor, water, chemical use), and hygienic design. Documentation: Maintain meticulous and accurate sanitation records, validation, and verification documents to demonstrate compliance. Collaboration: Partner closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance/Food Safety teams to schedule and execute cleaning activities without disrupting production goals and to address any microbiological or hygiene-related issues. Pest Control: Oversee the facility's Integrated Pest Management (IPM) program. Budgeting: Manage the departmental budget for labor, chemicals, and sanitation supplies.
