Experience in creating and interpreting technical drawings (including P&IDs), applying UL508A and NEC standards, practical implementation of VFD programming and control systems, working with data network protocols, and using software like AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite. location: Anaheim, California job type: Permanent salary: $130,000 - 145,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Design, Develop, and Optimize Electrical and Control Systems: Design comprehensive electrical systems (MCCs, Control Panels, LCPs, junction boxes) specifically optimized for water/wastewater treatment environments.Manage Technical Documentation: Develop, review, and approve critical technical documentation, including single line diagrams, control panel drawings, P&IDs, schematics, loop diagrams, layout drawings, and detailed interconnecting wiring diagrams.Implement Control Strategies: Develop, implement, and configure control schemes to meet operational requirements. Collaborate with PLC programmers to define and develop effective control strategies for treatment equipment.Specify and Integrate I&C Components: Specify control system requirements and communication interfaces. Produce comprehensive instrument data sheets and technical specifications for electrical and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) components.Program and Troubleshoot: Implement and optimize Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) parameter programming. Configure, test, and troubleshoot various control and data network protocols.Ensure Compliance and Quality: Ensure all designs and implementations strictly comply with UL508A, National Electrical Code (NEC) standards, and the latest industry codes.Conduct Rigorous Testing: Conduct rigorous testing and simulation of control systems for both Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site/Field Acceptance Tests (SAT/FAT); prepare detailed test reports and maintain thorough project documentation.Vendor and Client Management: Manage and supervise panel fabrication vendors. Act as the primary technical liaison with clients regarding electrical and control system matters.Project Support and Mentorship: Provide essential field support during the construction, commissioning, and startup phases of projects, and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Management team.
