This role comes with a very appealing salary commensurate with experience ranging from $90k to $100k plus an annual bonus, relocation assistance is also available. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. location: INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana job type: Permanent salary: $90,000 - 100,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Essential Functions & Requirements: -Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times -Develops category strategy for Site Materials & Indirects categories (MRO, PPE, Lab Supplies, Chemicals, Collection Materials, and Field Equipment) and vendors that support the overall Procurement and Company business goals for financial and operational efficiency -Builds and implements annual category plans to drive the strategic management of related spend - Assists the business in maximizing Company resources and inventory levels, optimizing assets and decreasing costs across multiple treatment facilities -Monitors and conducts audits to verify vendor performance and risk, contract terms compliance, and SLA adherence to ensure the supplier meets operations and customer quality, compliance and operational needs; provides results to be presented during Quarterly Business Reviews with suppliers -Partners closely and actively supports business and operations customers at Corporate and in the field to help ensure Company resources locally and nationally are being maximized -Ensures site leadership, EH&S, and Approvals departments align on required specifications for assigned categories before any purchasing decision -Iteratively identifies processes and performance improvement opportunities and best practices to enhance Company operations -Establishes KPIs that monitor performance to forecast, objectives, and business plans with year- on-year cost savings -Assists in refining and driving the vision for the Procurement function -Manages a portfolio of commercial contracts, including organization of the contracts repository for assigned categories -Drives total cost of ownership reduction through joint process improvements with suppliers -Develops RFPs and negotiates new contracts while maintaining strong vendor relationships -Maintains a positive rapport with all levels of the organization to foster and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment, high levels of morale and high employee engagement -Serves as a mentor to other Procurement team members, fostering collaboration amongst teammates -Maintains the ability to travel up to 15% -Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization Education: -Bachelor's degree (required); concentration in business, supply chain / operations, finance or engineering (preferred) Experience: -5+ years of purchasing experience in an industrial environment (required) -Previous experience with, and proficiency in, ERP systems and intermediate / advanced Excel functions (required) -Previous experience in the hazardous waste industry working with industrial / manufacturing site materials procurement e.g. MRO, PPE, Lab Supplies, Chemicals, Collection Materials, Field Equipment (required) -Previous experience working with Oracle PeopleSoft (preferred) Competencies: -Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior management and entry-level operations -Advanced consulting, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to ensure strategic alignment with multiple parties -Project management and leadership capabilities to effectively assign priorities in a fast- paced and changing environment -Self-motivated with the ability to develop strategic, tactical and operational direction -Ability to collaborate and bridge gaps across functional boundaries -Business acumen and ability to develop a team that supports Operations with a focus on both internal and external customer satisfaction -Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role #DW-1 qualifications: Experience level: ExperiencedMinimum 5 years of experienceEducation: Bachelors (required) skills: Purchasing / Procurement Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Randstad, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
