job summary: Client is seeking several Power Plant Operations Engineers for direct hire roles in Texas. Candidates will provide technical support to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of coal-fired power generation facilities. Fossil fueled power generation experience is required, coal fired power gen experience is strongly desired. Relocation assistance is available. location: DALLAS, Texas job type: Permanent salary: $95,000 - 160,000 per year work hours: 8am to 4pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Operational Support and Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary engineering resource for plant operations and maintenance teams, providing technical support for the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plant equipment and systems.Performance Optimization: Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement to enhance plant efficiency and performance.Project Management: Plan, manage, and provide technical direction for plant maintenance and modification projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.Compliance and Safety: Develop and implement procedures to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, safety standards, and operational requirements. Promote a strong safety culture among all plant personnel.Technical Evaluation: Assist in developing technical specifications, evaluating contractor proposals, and ensuring that all modifications and repairs meet engineering requirements.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including technicians, operators, and maintenance staff, to coordinate and complete tasks effectively.Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records, technical reports, and documentation for maintenance activities, incidents, and engineering projects.
