job summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate specimen handling and analysis, rigorous quality control, problem resolution, meticulous documentation, and effective communication of critical results. This role is essential for maintaining laboratory compliance, supporting team functions, and contributing to a clean and organized work environment.   location: Seattle, Washington job type: Contract salary: $35 - 40 per hour work hours: 11 to 7 education: Bachelors   responsibilities: Specimen Handling & Analysis: Accurately handle and process specimens, perform test analyses using approved procedures, and ensure the proper reporting and maintenance of patient test results.Quality Control & Compliance: Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, meticulously document all QC activities, instrument calibrations, and maintenance. Maintain strict compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve issues that may impact test performance or result reporting, escalating complex problems to senior technologists or supervisors as needed. Document all corrective actions.Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of all testing performed, proficiency testing samples, and ensure proper labeling and dating of reagents and test kits.Communication & Support: Effectively communicate STAT and critical results to clients.
