job summary: A Lead Assortment Planner is needed for a multinational corporation that is involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and worldwide marketing and sales of athletic apparel, equipment, accessories, and services in the Beaverton, OR area. The Lead Direct Assortment Planner is responsible for developing and managing bottom-up merchandise plans, forecasts, and seasonal buys for the company's direct business, leveraging data and collaboration with various teams to ensure profitability and meet market demands. location: Beaverton, Oregon job type: Contract salary: $39.29 - 48.58 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Develop seasonal plans and monthly forecasts for sales, margin, and inventory at the style color level.Use analytics to create strategies that meet financial goals.Own open-to-buy forecasts to inform manufacturing decisions and in-season optimization.Deliver seasonal buys aligned with retail sales, inventory, and market expectations, including specific details on door, flow, and sizing.Partner with Geo and Global teams to optimize product lifecycle and responsive offerings.Analyze business performance against forecasts weekly and provide monthly in-season sales and inventory forecasts.Forecast product and optimize in-season through data analysis and actionable insights.Report on forecast variances weekly with action plans, risks, and opportunities.Support monthly and seasonal inventory planning and management.Collaborate with marketplace teams to manage product closeouts and aging inventory to maximize consumer demand. Skills: strong ability to use statistical forecasting and data science.Demonstrated experience in assortment planning and understanding of financial, product, and inventory planning.Excellent influencing, communication, and data-driven presentation skills.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop accurate plans and optimize trade-offs.Current understanding of consumer and marketplace trends. Education and Experience: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and3-5 years of directly relevant work experience.
