A detail-oriented accounting professional is sought to fill an Accounting Manager role in Las Vegas, NV. This in-office position offers a work-life balance and the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of four accounting professionals. The Accounting Manager will report to the Controller and will oversee the accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial standards, and drive continuous process improvement. The Accounting Manager will also work closely with the Controller and executive leadership, supporting key financial reporting, budgeting, and team development initiatives.

responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the daily accounting operations for a team of 4, ensuring financial accuracy, operational excellence, and timely, compliant reporting.
- Supervise and mentor staff across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Payroll functions.
- Manage credit and collections processes, including maintaining customer credit files.
- Oversee and execute the comprehensive month-end close process, culminating in the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset registers, intercompany eliminations, sales & margin reporting, data analysis and automation.
- Contribute significantly to the annual budget development and ongoing cost-control analysis.
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental accuracy and efficiency.
qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes with strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Proven experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and upper management
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
